The new committee was voted into place and is as follows: League Chairman: Terry Seldon. League Secretary: Nick Williams. Premier Division Secretary: Nigel Morgan. 1st Division Secretary: Mo Williams. Treasurer: Mike Copeland. Minutes Secretary: Huw Ware. There were 4 general committee members also voted on. ALL trophies need to returned as a matter of urgency because on Friday 28th August the Presentation Evening will be held at the Cadoxton Cons. Club from 7:30pm to late, with live music from the band "six one seven". Tickets are £2 each (all teams are entitled to 4 and these are available from Nick, teams present at the AGM were given theirs then). if you would like any extra tickets then please contact Nick and please buy them before the evening so that the Committee have an idea of how many are going to be present! there will be some available on the evening. Any donations of raffle prizes would be gratefully received on the night or earlier if you like. Registration forms were given out at the AGM and the registration evening will be on Wednesday 2nd September, 2009 at the Cadoxton Cons. A good turnout of players from various teams in Barry and players not associated to any teams. The Glenbrook again provided excellent hospitality with each player recieving a free pint to drown their sorrows when they lost! The evening had some excellent (and not so excellent) darts, the final four being Pete Snook, Mike Copeland, Richie Boucher, Dave Davies. The first semi final saw Pete defeat Mike and the second saw Richie defeat Dave. The final was Richie defeat Pete by 3-0 in legs of 17, 18 and 17 giving an excellent average of 86.7. Well done to him! Thank you to everyone who made the tournament, and we raised around £50 for the charity. Tickets can now be purchased on the door of the night itself, the doors open at 7pm, and the exhibition starting around about 8 o'clock. I would advise you to be there early since many people will be arriving to take their seats. |
